A Speculative Design Project for 2037 Focused Around Lifelong Learning Through Cooking Within Low-Income Communities Located Around the Brixton Market Area
Cook Cart is a portable kitchen unit designed to facilitate cooking for low-income communities in the Brixton area. Enabling the community to learn new skills and engage with a range of community members through a local community centre. The portable cart also allows for the users to re-situate themselves publicly within a space that will be increasingly difficult for them to survive and navigate by 2037 due to gentrification of the market and wider area, encouraging historical and cultural learning through ethos and location as well as food.
